HAPPY NEW YEAR to all out there!!! May all your wishes come true and God bless!!! :)

I'm back from METAMORPHOSIS 2006!!! This year, it was a combined camp of all the Polytechnics, Universities, Student Venture and Laselle/Nafa. It was held at NUS Prince George Park with the theme, "Movements Everywhere...Be That Someone." From TPCCC, we had two teams and the CGLs were Bo Chun and myself, and the ACGLS were Phyllis and Ben.

Coming to this camp was refreshing for me and a break away from my projects and studies. Anyone who says Poly life is slack is so so wrong. It is totally not slack at all, maybe more fun and independent in a sense. METAMORPHOSIS was way different from my youth camps and this time round, it was focused on training. For the first two days, I attended "Wave 1 Mission Trip Training" for 3 hours or more each as I will be going to Mongolia in March for mission trip. I'm looking forward to it though I do have certain worries. The workshop was intensive as there were a few speakers covering different things all within that 6 hours. There was no time to absorb plus I was tired and cold, super cold. It was raining heavily outside and the air-con could not be adjusted as it is controlled by a central system. Bummer. Apart from the worship, I attended a hip-hop lesson conducted by a professional hip-hopper. Whoa. It was super fun, tiring and I want to do it again!!! Hee. As I was wearing shorts, I ended up with bruises on both my knees and my arms hurted.

Besides the workshops, there were speaker sessions in the mornings and evenings. It was difficult trying to keep my eyes open as I was tired. I slept late like around 3am and kept waking up many time in the night as it was cold. Videos were showed as well many times and the ones on CM 2007 were super funny. They used the Korean shows but replaced the characters' faces with the staffs'. Super hilarious. Worship was great with the theme song 'Hosanna' by Paul Baloche.

On thursday, we had Project X the entire afternoon. TP was assigned to ChinaTown and I was partnered with Irene. Why am I not surprise? Last year, I was paired up with a staff as well, Calyn. I felt stressed and in the end, it was good as she encouraged me to approach people. The first person we approached was a chinese uncle and Irene shared with him the booklet, "What You See Is Not All You Get," in chinese. I kept praying and praying especially when she turned to another page and God indeed is at work. The uncle was at first reluctant then slowly he started to open up and his final answer was he will consider. I was really happy. After that, I shared with an ah beng who is around my age while Irene shared to 3 of his friends who appeared later on. Through the sharing, I could hear that his English was not that fluent and later, I found out that he was a school dropout. In the middle of the sharing, his mother appeared and she looked fierce but left after saying some thing to her son. From that though, I could see that he had parental problem but I did not probe on it. I continued sharing and he was willing and open to read the words out and guess what, he accepted God!!! Praise God!!! And even better still, his 3 friends accepted God too!!! Halleujah!!! Praise God!!! :D The last person I shared the booklet to was to an Indonesian uncle who turned out to be a Christian and was trying to test me as I was young. No wonder he asked me questions that were weird but thank goodness, Irene was with me.

As for Friday, there was a session "Out of the Box" where TRP together with NUS N0rth and Laselle/Nafa grouped to discuss the individual problem faced by TRP and Laselle/Nafa, and NUS North. It was a good session though I felt there were many ideas that were not fresh, new and feasible for TP. Still, I feel that there should be more of this kind of sessions. After that session, we had our own campus ministry time and TRP is together. We celebrated Yap Min's birthday during the session and as usual, we opened the time to share something about her. Other than that, we had a time of sharing and prayed for each other. At night, there was this part after the speaker session where the speaker prayed for the people for three things:
1) Full-time ministry
2) Spiritual Multiplier
3) Baptism

I wanted to stand for the full-time ministry but I did not. I'm lost what God wants me to do and I felt that I am not ready plus there are other worries as well.

Overall, METAMORPHOSIS 2006 was great and I learned a lot through it. The shirt design was really nice and we received our TRP jersey as well during the camp. On the last night. we went out to have prata and when I came back to the campus, I had Macs. No wonder keep gaining weight. Haha :p Well...I am looking forward to my mission trip in March where I will be going to Mongolia. I am really trusting God in my support raising as I need to raise up $2,500 for my trip. Anyone who would like to support me financially or/and in prayer, do let me know. I thank you in advance and may God bless you richly in His full abundance. :) Okie..that's all and now, I shall leave you the theme songs. I will put in the photos soon.

Hosanna
by Paul Baloche
Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You, we turn to You
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for You, we long for You
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away, washed away
CHORUS
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus
Hear the sound of hearts returning to You, we turn to You
In Your Kingdom broken lives are made new, You make us new
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away, washed away
CHORUS
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away, washed away
CHORUS
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
Come have Your way among us We welcome You here, Lord Jesus
(Repeat)
Ho- san- na, ho- san- na
Ho- san- na, ho- san- na
