Time for another dose of jess's borriinng life. Haha..not this time though. This wk was a grt one or shall i say, an awesome one. [Warning: Long entry!!!] Just came back frm TP&RP Campus Crusade combined chalet at Aloha Loyang yesterday. It lasted for 3 days and this is one chalet i will always remember. Why? Read on.

I shall not tok about everything or else this entry will be super duper long. So i will write down the stuffs that had a greater impact on me. On the first day while all of us gathered at macs before heading down to the chalet, irene suddenly asked me to lead worship before the messgae she was going to give that night. I was surprised. What makes it even more surprising was that when phyllis told me she saw my name on the list of ppl leading worship. Alamak!! How come i dunno one? But it turned out grt. Though i only led two songs due to lack of time for preparation, God provided a guit for one song and it was somemore a praise song. Cool right? And i was saboed by amos to use the mic. Argh!! I did use it in the end cuz everyone was like so supporting so how can i reject? Haiz..Haha ;)

Another thing that i will never forget on the first day is when we broke into grps for a time of sharing and prayer. The gals were all together as there were not many of us as compared to the guys. This is the first and only time i ever shared my struggles and burdens in a group. And i was glad i did. The sharings, encouragements and prayers frm the others deeply encouraged me. I felt really comforted by them. Actually in the end was only 4 of us. Yup. O then when yap min and me were resting on the bed, phyllis read her QT material to us. It was like a mother reading bedtime story to her children. So in the end, she became our "mummy" and wan ting our "dajie". I am "ermei" to them cuz yap min was younger than me. Wahaha..it's so seldom that i'm not the youngest. ;p It was only tha first day and so fast we formed a family.

On the second day, dajie told me that while she was doing her quiet time, God revealed to her a verse. And the moment she read the verse, she knew that the verse was meant for me and it really was when i read it. How amazing was that? Woohoo.. There was also a message in the morning by kailin. The message that was brought forth really spoke a lot to me. It toked about barrier(s), unity and so on. O..when she introduced herself at the beginning and she said that she was from NP, i was thinking whether she knew cheryl jie. I did not know her age but yeah la, i still went to ask her and surprise surprise, she knew cheryl jie. Haha..what a concidence. So yeah. Hehe.. As we were going to have bbq that night plus we were allowed to invite our frenz, we prayed for fine weather. At first we were quite worried when we saw a heavy rain coming in the afternoon. But by God's grace, the rain juzt passed by and then, the sky became clear. God is at work manz!! The bbq was wonderful. That's all i can say. Haha..

After the bbq, li huan (godmother), mummy, joel and myself went to the swimming pool to play. We ended getting wet though we only walked in the pool as we splashed each other. Heh..it was fun. Then after bathe, we played "Polar Bear, Hunter and Villagers" together with the rest. I kana 'polar bear' on the first round and i was gd. Haha ;p Joel came out with many variations and somehow 'polar bear' became 'panda'. Haha..funny sia. Then ard 5am, 'my family' decided it's time we hit out beds.

On the last day, it was sharing,thanksgivings and appreciations. It was encouraging and touching to hear what the others felt and learnt. I will never forget the challenge joel set: RP Campus Crusade will become bigger than TP's. And another one by irene: To fill up 2 bungalows nexr time we have another chalet. I am so looking forward to see these 2 challenges being fulfilled. O yeah and before i forget, the 'family' big hug before we departed after having lunch at white sands. Aww..so sad..

To sum it all up, the one thing that sets this chalet apart frm the others is everyone working together in one Spirit. Everybody was helping one another out with the preparation of the bbq, clearing up and even worship. This is one thing i truely feel what is missing in churches nowadays.

Anyway to end it, i really want to thank God that i joined Campus Crusade and got to know all my fellow brothers and sisters-in-Christ, especially mummy and dajie for all their encouragements. Also, i really want to thank God as well that i went for this chalet where my spiritual life felt refreshed, where i see unity and God's power at work. Indeed this chalet would not have been a success without Him. Thank you Lord.
