Children's camp, REAL (Receive Eternal Abundant Life) is over after 3 long days but I miss the kids in my group. Alpha Bits!!! I was an assistant leader while the group leader was jonathan and it was a great arrangement. Number 1: I did not have to do the devotion with the kids, in other words, teach. Number 2: Being an AL seemed to be more free in a sense. Heehee :) Anyway, I could not make it on thursday morning as I had my Kelly Service attachment that morning and there were VIPs coming down. Getting to that, it was ridiculous as we had to be there early and in the end, they came down late and they stayed only for maximum up to 3 minutes. My goodness. Waste our time only and james is still on his 'win a date with james' thing. Who wants to go with him to watch movie together with his company's people? It is so awkward.

Back to the children's camp, there was an altar call on the last afternoon and the response was overwhelming. Almost all the kids went up. I could see the teachers tearing when they went to lay their hands on the children and prayed for them one by one. It was such a joyful and emotional sight to see. Throughout the whole camp, my group was the most punctual and the most disciplined. Haha. ;) For the talent night, they did their cheer and a drama on Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection. The cheer went like this:

(Guys' part in blue/Gals in red)
Give me an A - Amazing
Give me a L - Loving
Give me a P - Powerful
Give me a H - Holy
Give me an A - Almighty
This spells Alpha.
This describes Jesus.
(Together) Gooooo Alpha.
(One small boy) Bits.

Interesting and meaningful right?? O and my group came in second. Not bad as we did not do so well in the games. Overall, the children's camp was great with good food (thanks to teacher jessie), great fun, wonderful kids and awesome praise and worship songs.

Throughout that week, I had to help my group do the PCC presentation slides and discuss CJP project, which was due on friday. I stayed up nights doing them and even did not sleep on thursday night despite having the children's camp the following morning. After the camp ended at around 6pm on saturday, I had to rush down to yishun where sharon's church is as I had to teach the youths there dance for their mission trip. It was really by God's strength that I could cope with everything and not breakdown.

Besides all these, I felt God speaking to me during that week. It started when irene showed the crusaders a vcd about this caterpillar 'Hermie.' It was about the caterpillar, who felt he was ordinary, normal, plain, and wanted to be like others and tried ways to be like them. And everytime he asked God why, God asked him who made the others and told him that God was not done with him yet. The story ended with the caterpillar acknowledging of who he is because he has a great God and became a butterfly later on. Throughout the whole story, I felt God speaking to me as I am just like the caterpillar. I don't like myself. I tried to be like the people around me who are better than me. I don't know who I am. Surprisingly, this was played during the children's camp as well.

The other thing I felt God speaking to me was about my decision to go to Mongolia for mission trip. I was at first despondent when I saw that after quite long, there was only 1 person who signed up for Mongolia and that person was me. Also, there is the support raising issue as I have to raise up $2,500 which is the most 'costly' as compared to the rest. All these made me think whether I had made the right decision and my second alternative was to go with TRP crusaders to Sabah instead.

But God assured me that I did not made the wrong decision and that it was his calling for me as well. Firstly, irene showed me a Christian magazine article which talked about Mongolia. Secondly, when I went to attend an NE talk by Ron Kaufman on wednesday afternoon, he covered quite a bit about his experience in Mongolia. I remembered he said that the best way to develop a relationship with them is to have a meal with them. Thirdly, I read about an article on newspaper today about Jerry Yen's experience in Mongolia, being the first ambassador of Asia for World Vision International. If all these do not convince me, I seriously don't know what would. These are not by concidence.

Ok..I shall end off here. I need to get back to my work. Cheers.

It's been a while since I lasted updated which was before school started for this semester 2.2. I can't believe how time passes so fast and soon I will be graduating from TP. Hopefully I will be able to get into either NTU or SMU after that.

Since this semester started, it has been a super busy period as projects came on after another. In addition, I have attachment to Kelly Services every thursday and PA project, which my group is doing on front-of-house. I guess so far things are going quite alright for now but as deadlines are nearing, things will get heated up real soon. Even among all these busyness, I still managed to watch 'Flush Away' together with komala, magadalene, gerald and dinesh. O..and I have gotten the 'BANG' cards. Yippee!!! :D

As for this week, it was slack in terms of tutorials as we only need to come down to school at certain timeslots to meet the various tutors for peer teaching sessions. This week, however, my group had problems with the PA in regards to whether the project internship is align with what we are supposed to learn. If it doesn't, we will withdraw and having substantial reasons to do so. It started on tuesday when my group met up with ms tay for peer teaching and she asked us about the PA project. Now this is one of the tutors who is concerned about their students and not just purely what they need to do. I found out that she was not keen on working with PA in the first place and was cautious about the whole project. We have to learn whatever we are supposed to learn with the additional hands-on experience and not to be runners.

So that basically started everything. I had to call foo min (PA person-in-charge of my group) a few times and Yew Tee CC. Then my group met up with ms tay a few times as well to hear what she has to say in regards to the project. In the end, we decided not to withdraw as it was align with our learning and there was no substantial reason for us to witbhdraw. o_O

O and on wedneday, 4 people from Doulos came down for life meeting to share about their experience and testimony. They were all from different countries, Singapore, Philippines, South Korea and US. Their sharing really touched my heart especially the struggles they had to go through and overcome. It was inspiring as well to hear their experience on Doulos such as what they do in there. Hmmm...I may signed up with them. Let's see how it goes. Hee ;)

Okie..I shall stop here and go back to my work. Till next time. Cheers.
